250th Anniversary Committee approves memorial plaque payment and certificate holders

DIGHTON — The Dighton 250th Anniversary Committee for America unanimously approved a $2,455 payment to U.S. Bronze for a Revolutionary Memorial brass plaque and authorized up to $25 for certificate holders. Chairman Pat Gailes reported the committee's cash balance of $13,571.05 matches town records.
Zack Caron updated the committee on the Town Meeting Play, noting ten actors from grades 5 through 8 participated in their first full rehearsal with a rewritten script to incorporate historical facts; performances are planned for May 16 and September at the reenactment. The committee tasked subcommittees with planning the reenactment and encampment, and rescheduled the Old Bristol Path Presentation for March 15 at 2:00 pm.
