Dighton Board of Health approves permits and Waste Zero contract. The board voted unanimously to issue annual permits for stable operations at two locations, a pool facility, farmers market, and temporary food vendor at the Dighton Arts Festival while authorizing a Waste Zero contract for pay-as-you-throw bag services after the company submitted the lowest bid. Town Nurse Rebecca reported 12 Lyme disease cases along with cases of Vibrio, varicella, norovirus, and tick-borne illness, and is planning a blood drive and fall flu clinic.

Health Agent Elizabeth reported completing three percolation tests and one installation. The board addressed a septic system discovered at C&N Pizza during renovations and indicated the occupancy permit will remain on hold until the system is properly addressed.
