Board endorses solar moratorium, four zoning amendments

Planning Board · Meeting of May 6, 2026

DIGHTON — Planning Board backs solar moratorium through June 2028. The board voted unanimously to recommend a two-year pause on large-scale solar installations while preserving small-scale projects. Four zoning amendments were also recommended for approval, including changes aligned with state "Ollie's Law" on kennel licensing, Conservation Subdivision revisions, and floor-area definition removals.

The board recommended Muddy Cove Lane for acceptance as a town way, a necessary step for the Pleasant Street bridge replacement project.
