Board of Health approves vendor permits, swap shed funding.

Board of Health · Meeting of April 28, 2026

DIGHTON — Board of Health in Dighton approves six food vendor permits and allocates $3,000 for accessibility improvements. Voting unanimously, the board approved permits for The Luxe Lemon Mobile, The Perky Turkey, The Burrito Bowl, End Zone Ventures DBA Kona Ice, Kristis Kraftails, and Wagglebee, and waived the permit fee for the Dighton Lions Club's Cow Chip Festival. Health Agent Elizabeth reported all food inspections are complete.

The board also unanimously allocated $3,000 from regional deposition program savings for swap shed accessibility work. The meeting underscored staffing challenges as Office Manager Nancy concluded employment April 28; board members expressed frustration over consolidating the Health Department, Veterans Affairs, and Building Department into a single Inspectional Services position without adequate planning.
