Dighton Board of Selectmen approved a consulting firm search for Highway Superintendent recruitment. Town Administrator Ralph Vitacco proposed the engagement at an estimated cost of approximately $10,000 to find a successor to the current superintendent retiring in January 2027; the board voted unanimously to proceed with the search beginning in October. Chairman Mark Pacheco requested the firm present at least three candidates for board consideration.

The board also unanimously approved a facilities use request from the Dighton Lions Club for its Arts Festival and tabled Paul Sylvia's appointment to the Cemetery Commission pending conflict of interest review, given Sylvia's ongoing cemetery maintenance contract with the town.
