Conservation Commission continues bridge and subdivision hearings

Dighton conservation board advances bridge and subdivision hearings. The Conservation Commission continued MassDOT and town hearings on the over-100-year-old Pleasant Street bridge over Muddy Cove Brook, which affects approximately 12,730 square feet of protected wetland areas and will take 5 to 8 years to construct using pre-fabricated concrete beams and coffer dams for fish passage. The commission also continued hearings on Bell Farm Estates' 26-lot subdivision at Milk Street and Council Oak Way, pending a comprehensive mitigation plan for clearing in the 100-foot buffer zone.
Four other project hearings were continued to March 19, while the commission approved a negative determination allowing LBH Hunter's Hill LLC to clear vegetation on 8 residential lots at Bayberry Way.
