Council on Aging receives grants, signs employment agreement

DIGHTON — Council on Aging approves grants, signs federal job accord. COA Director A. Powell reported approval of a $15,000 Romero Grant and signed an agreement with Citizens for Citizens Senior Community Service Employment Program to place a 20-hour-per-week employee with the council and Prime Time Supportive Adult Day Program, which serves 15 enrolled clients.
The council also received partial funding on its FY26 Executive Office of Aging & Independence Formula Grant, collecting $14,680 of a $29,360 budgeted allocation, with additional payments through April. The council unanimously approved prior minutes and discussed budget and parking lot expansion planning.
