Dighton 250th Anniversary Committee finalized planning for anniversary events including a May play and spring reenactment. Chairman Pat Gailes reported a cash balance of $10,491.05 with $400 expected from the Cultural Council. The committee unanimously approved $28.33 for certificate holders.
Estimated upcoming expenses total approximately $7,400, including $2,800 for a granite podium, $1,100 in police details, $1,100 in fire costs, and $2,400 for portable toilets for the reenactment. The podium will be placed in the War Memorial Circle. The committee continues coordinating with police and fire departments on event logistics, with the Town Meeting play scheduled for two performances on May 16.
