Dighton Council on Aging reviews FY27 budget amid staffing challenges. Director A. Powell reported receiving $14,680 of a $29,360 state Formula Grant and co-signing a $3,200 Senior Safe Grant with the Dighton Fire Department to provide equipment to seniors.
A part-time Kitchen and Program Assistant position through the Citizens for Citizens Senior Community Service Employment Program was discussed; SCSEP will provide a 20-hour-per-week employee. Prime Time Supportive Adult Day Program reported 15 clients enrolled as of March 9, with one employee on medical leave. The Council's Outreach worker is on maternity leave, with staff covering responsibilities.
