Dighton Library Board approves revised FY27 budget with contingency staffing plans

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of March 12, 2026

Dighton Public Library Board unanimously approves revised FY27 budget with dual contingencies. Library Director Mark Procknik presented two scenarios based on the outcome of a pending debt exclusion vote: a 17.6 percent reduction if the exclusion fails, or 13.8 percent if it passes, with staffing adjustments in both cases. Both budgets maintain state certification minimums and include staff benefits.

The Board voted unanimously to transmit the revised budget to the Selectmen and Finance Committee, and noted the retirement of Technical Services Librarian Phyllis Haskell, effective April 4, 2026.
