Dighton Library Board elects new chair, approves spring events. Trustees Rita Araujo and Dave Marvill elected Ann Meitzen as Trustee Chair during the May 14 meeting. The board voted unanimously to keep the library open on Saturday, May 23, during Memorial Day weekend and on Saturday, May 30, during the Cow Chip Festival.
The Trustees approved a "Spring into Summer Fun" civic engagement event hosted by Dighton-Rehoboth High School students Isabella Fernandes and Addison Hoyle on May 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Library Director Mark Procknik reported the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee approved an FY27 budget that qualifies the library for state certification. ===BRIEF===
