Dighton Planning Board approves mixed-use contractor garage at Center Street. The board voted unanimously to close the public hearing and approved the Special Permit and Site Plan Review for Tyla Gooch and Brad Staples, establishing a 4-bay commercial contractor garage in the residential zone with mixed-use overlay district. The project received approval with conditions including a performance bond, construction-period screening and noise control measures, and strict operating hours of 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.
The board determined the operating restriction necessary to address neighborhood impacts. Board members Jeffrey Carvalho, Daniel Higgins, Christopher Cunha, and Joseph Figueiredo heard the application after reviewing updates from consulting engineer Weston & Sampson.
