Board of Selectmen · Meeting of July 22, 2026

Dighton selectmen order stormwater committee governance study. The Board of Selectmen, comprising Chairman Pacheco, Selectman Caron, and Selectman Cabbage, directed Town Administrator Vitacco to investigate whether the Stormwater Committee should remain under Board of Health jurisdiction or be reorganized, following the Board of Health's own request to move the committee. Stormwater Committee Chair Nancy Goulart noted the committee's effectiveness since its 2018 creation, while resident Bill Moore raised concerns about authority and timing.

The board unanimously accepted Town Assessor Stephanie Schecter's resignation and approved posting the position. The board also unanimously approved four warrants totaling $755,457.34.
