Dighton Sewer Commission accepts longtime manager's retirement notice, effective June 30. Department Manager Dianne Curtis is retiring from her position, with the Board of Sewer Commissioners unanimously accepting her retirement letter at the April 6 meeting. Superintendent Harold Gracia reported ongoing operational challenges at multiple pump stations, attributing high flows to snow melting, storms, and water infiltration through manhole tops.
The department also experienced occasional high-level alarms at the Bristol County Agricultural High School pump station, where a failed pump was recently restored to service.
