Department Manager Dianne Curtis is retiring from her position, with the Board of Sewer Commissioners unanimously accepting her retirement letter at the April 6 meeting. Superintendent Harold Gracia reported ongoing operational challenges at multiple pump stations, attributing high flows to snow melting, storms, and water infiltration through manhole tops.
The department also experienced occasional high-level alarms at the Bristol County Agricultural High School pump station, where a failed pump was recently restored to service.
