Sewer Commission · Meeting of August 10, 2026

Dighton Sewer Commission approves $1.8 million pump station upgrade. The board unanimously voted to move forward with GHD Engineering's rehabilitation plan for the Power Plant Pump Station, directing Superintendent Harold Gracia to seek town funding and other available resources for the $1.8 million estimate. The quote, characterized as conservative and non-escalating, encompasses all necessary work including temporary bypass pump rentals while major improvements proceed.

The commission also unanimously approved a Drain Layers License for Charles F Fisher & Sons. Separately, Gracia reported hopes to submit an EPA grant application by year's end with $350,000 identified but additional resources needed, and noted the commission may commission a new assessment of all six pump stations for the first time since September 2001.
