DIGHTON — Sewer board approves drain layer renewal, discusses pump modernization. The Dighton Board of Sewer Commissioners unanimously approved a drain layer license renewal for D. B. and Son Excavating of Somerset at its March 9 meeting, with Chairman Robert Woods, Tom Ferry, Mark Nicora, Superintendent Harold Gracia, and Dianne Curtis present.

The commission received correspondence from AquaSave regarding a PLC-based Station Control Panel grant program aimed at enhancing sewer pump station monitoring capabilities, though the program remains under development. Superintendent Gracia also reported that the Town Hall alarm system was restored after a Friday outage, and that a faulty transducer at the Power Plant prompted a replacement order.
