Sewer Commission · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Dighton Sewer Commission unanimously approves moratorium on new building connections to pump station. The commission voted to prohibit new building connections to the Route 138 Power Plant pump station at 1450 Somerset Ave, citing capacity concerns that have persisted for years. Chairman Mark Nicora and Superintendent Harold Gracia reported that the Power Plant pump station project cost has risen from an initial $700,000 estimate to $1.2 million.

Scott Wenger of GHD Engineering said documents for the pre-bid phase are prepared, with work planned in phases. The commission also set FY27 sewer rates for determination on August 10.
