Dighton Waste Reduction Committee approves swap shed mission statement. The three-member committee unanimously approved the mission statement for its transfer station swap shed project, authorizing presentation to the Selectmen with an April 1 target date. Tom Ferry reported declining tonnage at the transfer station.
The transfer station attendant raised operational concerns about hours, accepted items, inventory tracking, and wage implications; the committee addressed each. The committee also approved compost bin flyers for mid-April distribution and learned that the Dighton baseball team and high school band may accept surplus inventory.
