Dighton Select Board denies auto dealer license after police fraud investigation, approves blighted Spring Street building permits. The board voted unanimously June 10 to reject a Class 2 motor vehicle dealer application from Stephen Remy of Bristol County Auto Sales at 2387 Winter Street, following a memo from Deputy Chief Ryan Richards detailing probable cause of fraudulent sales, licensing violations in Massachusetts and Maine, and "aggressive behavior, threats" toward customers seeking recourse.
