Dighton Board of Assessors Votes Unanimously to Enter Closed Session
DIGHTON — June 11, 2025 — Dighton Board of Assessors convened its June regular meeting and immediately entered executive session, conducting no other public business. The board voted unanimously twice in rapid succession — first to reorder the agenda and pull the closed-session item to the front, then to enter executive session under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30A, Section 21, Subsection 7, which permits a public body to close its meeting in order to comply with requirements of a special law or federal grant-in-aid program. The chair noted the board intended to return to open session after the executive session concluded, but the public recording ended before any such return was captured. No assessments, abatements, or other agenda items were addressed on the record.
