Dighton Board of Health Unanimously Approves FY27 Budget at Special Meeting
Board of Health · Meeting of February 5, 2026
Dighton Board of Health approves FY27 budget unanimously at brief special Zoom meeting. Chairperson Tammy Mello called the February 5 meeting to order at 12:01 p.m. with members Vincent Hebert and Chris Isibor present; Hebert made the motion to approve the budget as presented and Isibor seconded. A staff member identified only as Liz told the board the department submitted two budget scenarios — one contingent on a debt exclusion passing — and came in under the spending target in both cases, largely because the office manager role is being combined across departments, cutting that line item in half.
The board also briefly discussed revised stormwater regulation language drafted by engineering firm Weston and Samson but declined to act, with Mello noting she had not yet been told what changed in the five-page document; that item was deferred to the board's next meeting, currently set for February 17.
